I want to thank everyone who attended the 2018 Region 7 Conference last weekend. I am glad a great time was had by all. I want to send special thanks to the crews of the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Justice for the hard work they all did to make this weekend a success. This event was two years in the making. From the inception of the idea to do this to executing the event.

Everything went off without a hitch. We had 59 registrants for this conference. Wayne and Bob both confirmed that this was the largest attendance at a Region 7 Conference in 20 years. On top of that we had more than half of the registrants participating at the banquet we had Saturday night. The food was spectacular and the service was great.

I want to thank the regional board for their attendance and participation in running panels. All of the panels went very well. Much was learned and everyone was enthusiastic and asked pertinent questions.

I want to also thank Commander (Retired) Willie Yee for taking his Saturday and hosting two panels. One was his magic show and the other was on current NASA missions. He also stayed for the banquet and did a trick or two for those in attendance.

The hotel staff was fantastic. Any concerns we had were addressed immediately and effectively. They were attentive, personable and pleasant. They will be thanked accordingly.

I am proud to have had the opportunity to participate in the organization and running of this conference. I am glad everyone had a good time and that nothing went wrong.
